Bring in yer stuff for this Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and get some game in!  This is a great opportunity to learn the rules before jumping to the bigger levels.  This is where most people learn the value of their basic troops before the entry of the mighty heroes!

The Dark elves ahve fallen into battling amongst themselves as other opponents have been too fearfull to take the field!

In a game predicted by Kurt with a "C" ... Matt wins ... defeating Matt ... no I'm not playing with myself!

Mattie and I played a game earlier today and I squeeked out a win, routing enemy repeater x-bows, heavily damaging come corsairs and killing his Sorceress.  In the exchange I lost most of my Dark Riders to his Repeater Boltthrower and took some casualties from incedental X-bow fire.

Good game and I learned lots!

Ogres and Gnobblars maliciously treaded into the Drk Elf domains held by M@rieths Manflayers and all fell before their dire countenance.

Repeater crossbow bolts blotted out the sun ... "at least we'll die in the shade!" a gnobblar sergeant was heard to say!

100 points were awarded to the Ogre Kingdoms force, for claiming a table quarter with a unit of gnobblars that rallied last turn of the game ...

blasted Dark Elf magic!!!!!
the last unit of gnobers decided that they where having much fun chasing a rat that happened to run into thier little camp, so they sat 1" from the edge of the game having rat hot pot stew.
mmmm those tasty rats.

chalk up another victory for gnobler kind.

oh and aparently some ogres died... but rat stew is yummy.

Well I guess you only lost 8 Ogres ... and gnobblars don't really count so casualty wise you got off pretty light!

the dwarfs got distroyed yesterday not one left standing after thos blasted ogres finished with then   THE DWARFS WILL TAKE REVENGE!!!

My Nordlander force is trailing behind (damn this weather!), but I look forward to bringing what I do have done down to the shop some time this week.

its was a grizzly day, the rain came down, The Dwarves were on Patrol, when from through the forest came a hoarde of gnoblers, they scrabmbed towards the dwarves, then suddenly they stopped and spread out, then started to throw rocks and junk at the dwarves killing one with a random bit of sharp stuff. The dwarves retaliated, charging towards the gnoblers, whom giggled and laughed as they turned and ran, running though the legs of... the dwarves charge falters running out of momentum, as the gnoblers turn tail, by then it was too late, the large ogres came from behind the gnoblers, firing deadly cannons, and charging the dwarves in a crazy ambush, the dwarves tactically retreated, towards thier Crossbowmen, in an attempt to lure the enimy out of cover. the main Dwarf unit flanked some of the ambushing ogres, sending them through the bushes and off the table. before the dwarves could turn towards their next target the gnoblers came back in charging towards thier flanks, the pulled a tactical retreat through the forest back towards the crossbowmen as they ran they passed the second horde of gnoblers, whome immediatly ajusted rank and began throwing rocks at the dwarves. cannon fire echo'd across the mountain pass, screams were heard as more ogres came down from the hill, and into the smaller unit of dwarves, crushing several the dwarves held their ground, the Dwarf Captain rushed into line with his brothers only to be slaughterd, by the orges and as the ogred rushed on in victory they slammed into the crossbowmen slaughtering them also. the dwarves tried to retreat, almost making the table but they hesitated, not sure what to do, and in their last moment of glory stood their ground defiantly and fighting down to the last.

ogres......... 700 pts. (all the dwarves a table corner and  
                           a standard.)
Dwarves....... 173 pts (21 gnoblers and 3 ogres)

it was a good day. the mercinarys unit Bad Ogre won it away.

I'll put it out to you guys, I'm thinking of either suspending the builders for a week or so during X-Mas or just prolonging the 500 point session so that everyone can come down to play!

Christmas off would give me some valuable catch-up time (although I admit I've been working on my Inquisimunda and Mordhiem warbands between Batches of State Troops).
